About Us
More than a driving school — we build confident, responsible drivers
Driver Education Specialists has been serving Port Edwards and the surrounding communities since our founding. What started as a small operation out of a single classroom has grown into one of the region's most trusted driving schools — and we're proud of how far we've come.
Our philosophy is simple: every student deserves an instructor who treats them with patience and respect, a curriculum that goes beyond memorizing rules, and the kind of hands-on practice that actually translates to real-world confidence behind the wheel.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards because we know what's at stake. A driver's license isn't just a piece of plastic — it's independence, opportunity, and responsibility. That's why we take our work as seriously as you should.

What Our Students Say
Real feedback from real drivers
"My daughter was terrified of driving before she started with Driver Education Specialists. Within six weeks, she not only passed her road test but actually enjoyed the process. The instructor was incredibly patient and made sure she felt prepared every step of the way."
"I'm 42 and had never learned to drive. I was embarrassed to admit it, but the team at DES made me feel completely comfortable. No judgment, just great instruction. I passed my road test on the second attempt and I owe that to their preparation."
"The road test prep session was a game-changer. They took us through the exact route our examiner would use and pointed out everything we might get marked down for. I felt like I already knew the test before I walked in."
